We contacted him to see if he would be willing to de-commission an old wood burner that had been attached to a redundant back boiler - which meant it was unusable. It was also unusable because we could not find a chimney sweep willing to clean the rather ‘dodgy’ chimney! Carl cheerily took on the challenge and we were astonished at how quickly and efficiently he dealt with all the ‘issues’ (including the record number of bird carcasses that he had recovered from a chimney!). Superb service. Extremely competitive pricing, that was clear from the start with no added extras. I love services that understand exactly what you want without then trying to immediately up-sell and doubling the price of the job, but do advise on the important areas so you don't make mistakes

Had Carl round to have a look at my fireplace. He gave me a recommendation for the stove then suggested I do a little research into alternatives and get back to him. Found his recommendation to be the best for my application. I placed an order and he was round with the stove within a week. The installation was quick, tidy and looks great. Very happy with the finished installation and have no hesitation recommending his services. Excellent.

I cannot praise Carl Lamoon and Oxonstoves highly enough! We had trouble with a new stove installed by another company and after trying to get the stove to work over a period of 2 years plus I asked Carl to come ,as independent advisor, to test the stove etc. Carl found that the stove was not installed to correctly and did not meet HETAS requirements. After trying to get this rectified by the original installer we decided to end the battle and asked Carl to install a new stove plus indoor and outdoor flues. This has been done to a high standard and with professional care. We are now happy to approach winter confident in the work carried out and the guarantee of 24/7 after care should we need it.

Absolutely brilliant installation. I tried to get a couple of of quotes, one didn't turn up, the other said he needed scaffolding and Carl was by far the most efficient and a reasonable price. We have had an open fire for around 20 years but wanted to change to log burner. Just two weeks after confirming with Carl that I wanted to go ahead the fire was installed. I sourced the stove myself (DG Ivar 5) and Carl installed it. Took less than a day, clean, tidy and really helpful with loads of helpful advice re wood etc. Would highly recommend
